Broccoli Rabe' with Cannelloni Beans

Broccoli Rabe' with Cannelloni Beans

1 bunch broccoli rabe' cut into bite size pieces

1 can cannelloni beans or dark red kidney beans also work nicely either way make sure they are drained and rinsed

2 tbsp freshly chopped garlic

1/2 cup freshly grated pecorino romano cheese

3 tbsp vegetable oil

salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Ingredients: 

In a large pot, cook the broccoli rabe' until soft. Strain and set aside

In a large frying pan, add oil and garlic and sauté until fragrant usually a minute.

Add the broccoli rabe to the frying pan and mix with the garlic. Salt and pepper it.

Once it's mixed add the beans and mix again.

Finally add some of the grated cheese leaving a little to sprinkle on top once you plate it.


You can have this as a meal, or as a side. Enjoy!
