Pepperoni & Cheese Turnovers

Pepperoni & Cheese Turnovers

1 pkg. sliced pepperoni

1 cup shredded Hot Habanero Cheddar Cheese

(You can use regular cheddar if you don't like it spicy)

Garlic powder for sprinkling

1 bag Pizza dough

Vegetable oil for frying



Directions:

Ingredients: 


Get the pizza dough and cut in quarters and then cut the quarters in quarters.

One at a time spread out and sprinkle with a little garlic powder.

Next stuff the dough with 3 to 4 pepperoni slices and about a tbsp of cheese


Just a tip try not to over fill them, and don't make them too

huge because they grow pretty big as they cook. And if they get too doughy then they'll burn before the dough finishes cooking. Yuckness


Once you have the filling put in, wrap the dough over

the filling and pinch firmly together sealing it up like a

pouch, and then set aside.


In a large skillet add about 1/4 cup of oil. You want the oil to come half way up the dough. So it's okay if it goes over it, just don't add too little oil or it won't cook properly.


Heat on medium heat, and carefully add one filled pouch at a time in the oil. Don't put more than 3 at a time in the pan, as I said they grow.

Cook on low to medium heat until lightly browned on both sides.


Drain on paper towels and let cool for at least 2 or 3 minutes so you don't burn yourself too badly. (taken from experience.)
